Machine Guard & Cover was approached by a distributor whose customer, a gypsum plant, had a problem. During the wash-down process of their conveyors, the personnel doing the cleaning were not only washing the bearings but also washing the lubrication out of the bearings.
Machine Guard manufactured one of our standard bearing covers with shaft extensions on both sides, as the photograph shows. Since the initial order, division after division of this company has called Machine Guard for similar covers.
